And Then I Met You is like Joseph’s hug that night. While it reminds me of the way his body spray smells, it also captures the feeling of being enveloped in the arms of the love of your life. The hints of French lavender exude herbal and floral sweetness while the notes of oakmoss and cedar leaf release earthy undertones. The way that these notes intermingle with each other is surreal, like finally finding “the one.” I’m sure everyone who has this candle can attest to how charismatic it smells. So charistmatic that it’s able to tickle one’s soft and sappy heart.

The basil and the orange peel make this candle so beautifully herbaceous and inviting, welcoming you to a new day at your own time and pace. It reminds me quite succinctly of V8 Tropical Blend, a fruit juice we used to have for breakfast over the summers of my childhood (🥲). So really, Sunrise Walk doesn’t rush you to be a responsible adult the very second you’re awake (lol). Instead, it encourages you to lounge about and take your time, slowly waiting for your mind and body to be ready for a new day and what it has in store for you.

I had Ghost Stories for quite some time now but always had a hard time describing it in a technical manner. Black pepper, saffron, amyris and smoked tonka are uncommon in candles on its own but in its combination it is more baffling- in a good way. But let me describe it as an imagery- if a sepia photograph has a scent this would be it. It smells like unearthing a box of your old belongings stored in your bodega and in opening it you get a whiff of something ancient to the nose but the emotions will still rush through the veins as if its pushing your body to remember an event.
